A meeting between Ukraine's Ambassador to Sweden Anatoliy Ponomarenko and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt saw consideration of bipartite cooperation and Sweden's support of European bids of Ukraine, particularly in the context of future leadership of Sweden in the EU in 2009, “Cabinet press office” informed.
The parties admitted to intensify bipartite dialogue and discussed gearing up to a series of joint events, including a visit of Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt to Ukraine.
Anatoliy Ponomarenko stated his gratitude to Carl Bildt for support of EuroIntegration bids of Ukraine. The parties also bargained on further support of development of trade and economic investment cooperation between the countries.
