In an interview to journalists in Cabinet the acting Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko refused to comment on personnel appointments in the Foreign Ministry.

“I refuse to comment on any appointments,” he said and reminded that a candidature for the post of FM is submitted for parliament’s consideration by the President Victor Yushchenko. “Candidatures are prerogative of the President and it would be premature to comment on them,” he explained.

He does not exclude that the session of Ukraine-EU Troika, scheduled for February in Ukraine, will be held with his participation in the capacity of the acting Foreign Minister.

Ohryzko evaded the question whether he is ready to become a Foreign Minister and if PM Yanukovych has talked to him on this issue.

At the same time Ohryzko underlined that after coming of a new head of the Foreign Ministry foreign policy of Ukraine will not change.
