The Ukrainian side criticizes the statement of Russia’s
Ambassador to Ukraine Victor Chernomyrdin on disobedience to Ukrainian courts.
Press secretary of Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Andriy Deshchitsa declared at a
briefing in Kyiv.
“We consider that decisions of Ukrainian courts must be executed by all agents of economic activity on the territory of Ukraine, including Black Sea Fleet,” he said.
According to Deshchitsa, further fate of lighthouses will be decided during negotiations with Russian colleagues; however, if the sides do not come to consent, Ukraine may appeal to international courts.
“Ukraine reserves the right to act within the framework of international norm,” Deshchitsa warned.
