The official visit of the Head of Ukrainian Government to the Republic of Turkey, scheduled for January 17-18, aims at improving trade and economic relations between two countries. Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych told journalists today. “Trade and economic relations with Turkey are of great importance for Ukraine. It is high time to stir up these relations”, the Head of the Government stated.
Viktor Yanukovych said that during his visit to Turkey he intends to meet the President of Turkey, Prime Minister and acting Chairman of the Great National Assembly of Turkey. According to the results of negotiations a series of bilateral agreements are to be signed, “Cabinet press office” informes.
The meetings with leading business figures of Turkey, who invest or intend to invest in the Ukrainian economy, are on the agenda of the visit. The Ukrainian and Turkish business circles will have an opportunity to discuss relations between the government and business in their countries during a business forum within the framework of the visit. “We have always listened to each other and created proper conditions to protect investments both on the territory of Turkey and Ukraine”, Prime Minister disclosed.
