Victor Yushchenko spoke at a business forum in Seoul on Tuesday, president's press office reported.

The President urged South Korea’s business leaders to jointly build military equipment, space machines and ships. He characterized agreements the two countries had signed yesterday as significant.

Yushchenko said six AN aircraft had been built in Ukraine so far. There are also shipbuilding companies and they are ready to launch projects together with Korea, he continued.

“We want to offer Korean partners cooperation in these areas,” he said.

The President said energy efficiency was “the issue of mutual interest.”

“We have the political will and desire to see you and your capabilities in Ukraine,” he said.

Yushchenko believes there are favorable business conditions and circumstances today to develop cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea. There is political and macroeconomic stability, he explained.

“The environment created in the area of economic, investment and fiscal policies is quite favorable,” he said, adding that Ukraine would soon become one of the most advanced economies in Eastern Europe, with GDP growing by 10% annually, according to experts.

Ukreximbank and Eximbank Korea signed a frame agreement during the forum.
