Ukraine welcomes decision of the EU’s Council of Transport Ministers to open negotiations on development of common aviation area and signing a new agreement with Ukraine.
“We hope that this document will cover a wide range of further cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union, from using new security standards in air transportations up to rights protection of air passengers and economic regulation,” the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine says.
The Foreign Ministry considers this agreement will assist in the further development of air industry of Ukraine and its tourist potential.
“This agreement, like a recent signed agreement on simplification of visa regime, will tell on prosperity of the Ukrainian citizens: increase of lights between Ukraine and the EU, and decrease of flight cost,” the statement of the Foreign Ministry says.
