The second subcommittee’s session on security of the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental commission will be held in the second quarter of 2007.

The first vice PM of the Russian Federation, the Defense Minister of the RF Sergey Ivanov told today at the joint press conference with the Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Hrytsenko.

“We have already planned the subcommittee’s work for the next year – the next session is taking place in the Russian Federation in the second quarter of 2007,” Ivanov said.

At the same time he informed that today at the first subcommittee’s session the issues on perfection of the legal base of military and military-technical cooperation, mutual arrangements on military training, interactions on ammunition and components of rocket propellant utilization, development of mutual scientific programs and decision on rockets launch from the 31st center of Feodosia were discussed.

“We informed each other about problems and perspectives of Armed Forces of our two countries. We understand that geography can’t be changed. We should live and live together taking into account interests of our peoples,” Ivanov said.

Hrytsenko noted in his turn that session was held in warm and friendly atmosphere what made a contribution to the preparation for the meeting of two countries’ Presidents, planned at the end of December.

The Russian delegation consists of 60 persons.
