The Russian and Ukrainian sides agreed on continuing checking Ukrainian dairy and meat enterprises by Russian vet experts in November - December to resume exports of their produce to Russia, Ukrainian Minister for Agrarian Policy Yuriy Melnyk said, Cabinet press office reported.

Experts of the Russian Federal Agency of Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (RosSelkhozNadzor) have already inspected 19 packing plants and authorized beef export only by two of them.

According to Agrarian Policy Minister Yuriy Melnyk, Russia has permitted dairy exports to six Ukrainian enterprises.

The RosSelkhozNadzor has authorized beef exports to Russia from the KonotopMyaso (Sumy) and the Vatutinsky Packing Plant (Cherkasy) since November 6.

The ban on Ukrainian animal product imports to Russia was introduced on January 20, 2006. Experts predicted monthly damages at 50 to 60 M. USD in the dairy industry and 12 to 15 M. USD in the meat processing industry.
