According to Oleksandr Orda, First Deputy Minister for Health of Ukraine, the decision to recommence of credit of the World Bank to counter HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in Ukraine will be taken on November 17, Cabinet press office reported.

A working group of the World Bank was working in Ukraine for two weeks. Orda called the common work of the Ministry and this group as "sufficiently successful" and noted that there were a number of negotiations into capabilities to recommence the credit. "Today, we have a hope, that we have succeeded in reaching definite results in this direction", he said.

First Deputy Health Minister Oleksandr Orda also informed that funds within the framework of the common programme, directed to prevention of expansion of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis epidemic are supposed to be allocated from the budget.

The World Bank suspended the loan of 60 million USD for the project "Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS Control in Ukraine" on April 12, 2006 because of deficient progress in its implantation.
