The Cabinet considered and approved five draft bills related to Ukraine’s accession to the WTO, Economy Minister Makukha told. These drafts are following: On Iron-and-Steel Crap Export Duty; On Non-Ferrous Scrap Export Duty; On Cane-Sugar Raw Tariff Quota; On State Regulation of Sugar Production; a draft bill related to the pesticides.
Today the VR Committee on Economic Policy approved in full the package of the legal initiatives made by President Yushchenko. The initiatives are aimed at bringing the current legislation into line with the WTO requirements, Iryna Vannykova, President’s Press Secretary reports.
The President’s package consists of 16 bills. It has been submitted for the VR Committee’s consideration on October 19.
