During is visit to Hungary Victor Yushchenko attended a ceremony to lay flowers on the monument to the victims of the 1956 liberating struggle outside the Hungarian parliament building in Budapest.
The President also viewed an exhibition “In honor of heroes of 1956,” marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Hungarian revolution.
He also took part in a Budapest Freedom Forum and signed a Budapest 1956 Freedom Declaration, President's press office reported.
