President Viktor Yuschenko signed a decree appointing Ihor Ostash as Ukraine's Ambassador to Canada on Monday.
Ihor Ostash, 47, was the deputy head of the committee on international affairs in the previous parliament.
He twice served as the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
