“The VR committee on the fuel-and-energy complex, nuclear policy and nuclear security issues will pay a particular attention to energy tariffs and gas prices,” Mykola Martynenko described the activity of his parliamentary committee, “Razom” reported.
According to him, several up-to-date draft laws have been already prepared. They are the drafts of the Resolution on prohibition of the increase of energy and gas prices for population and the Law on prohibition of the increase of tariffs at the rate exceeding the rate of the growth of people’s income.
“The Committee will prepare the parliament to introduce the only state system of monitoring of production, supply, transport, consuming and payment of fuel-and-energy resources and public utilities. That will lead to considerable improvements,” he added.
The VR committee on the fuel-and-energy complex issues will also deal with more strategic problems. Mykola Martynenko mentioned the draft laws on energy saving, national regulation of energetics and a package of draft laws concerning waterpower resources of Ukraine.
