Ukraine and Azerbaijan plan to ink an agreement on cooperation in the fuel and energy complex, the PR press service informs.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Vice PM Andriy Klyuyev met the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev within the framework of his visit to Baku.

The high official and the head of the country discussed the prospects of bilateral relations between two countries. The main attention was paid to the fuel and energy spheres.

In the course of the meeting the parties addressed to the problems of energy cooperation, such as increasing of Azeri oil supply to Ukraine and construction of the new energy objects in Ukraine. The corresponding agreement was scheduled to be inked today. The next priority fields for cooperation are ecology and agriculture. “We will work out draft agreements between agricultural ministries of our countries,” said Klyuyev.

As a reminder, September 7-8 the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko will pay official visit to Azerbaijan.
