Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich charged Ministry of coal
industry with a job to ensure increase of coal production in Ukraine to 80 mln
tons in 2006.
“It is necessary Ukraine to reach the level of 80-80.5 mln tons of coal,” Yanukovich said speaking on the board session of Ministry of coal industry.
The Premier also asked the Ministry to work out a plan on coal production for 2007 year.
According to data of State Statistics Committee, coal production in Ukraine has increase by 1.3% for January-July in comparison with similar period of 2006 – to 35.9 mln tons.
