Victor Yushchenko has requested Premier Yuri Yekhanurov to make the State Property Fund implement this year’s privatization program.
“Due to meager privatization revenues and insufficient preparedness of enterprises for sale, I ask you to make the State Property Fund implement this year’s privatization program and budget [...],” he said, President's press office reported.
The President has also requested Yekhanurov to conduct an ecological examination of projects to build a sea port in Donuzlav.
In a letter he sent to the premier, the Head of State wrote Crimean residents and scientists were worried about a possible negative impact on the environment of the peninsula.
Yushchenko asked the government to hold a public debate to discuss the expedience of such a project.
