First deputy chairman of OU central executive committee Ihor Zhdanov told journalists that the candidature of Petro Poroshenko for the Speaker’s job had been approved once and for all and would not be reconsidered. According to Zhdanov, if BYuT supports this candidature during voting and Poroshenko obtains this position, Our Ukraine will also fulfill its engagements.
In response to the question whether the coalition will manage to agree with the opposition, Zhdanov said they need to define VR committees which have governing functions and give them to the opposition. In particular, he said, it could be the committee on freedom of speech and information, which belongs to BYuT presently, or the committee on human rights. According to the deputy, Our Ukraine is ready to give some its portfolios to the opposition.
