June 8, Ukraine and the United Kingdom have agreed to cancel their joint air force exercises called Tight Knot 2006, scheduled for June 14, Stratfor quoted Ukrainian Defense Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said Ukraine's parliament, which in early 2006 banned foreign troops from participating in exercises on Ukrainian soil, would have to consent to the exercises before they could be held.
