An ancient town Scythian Naples located in the south-eastern part of Simferopol will be reconstructed. It was revealed by newly elected Simferopol Mayor Hennadiy Babenko.
The project is a bit expensive but it is worthy of it. “Most likely it will be a joint investment project […] Russian and Ukrainian funds including. It needs over $5 million. There are lots of businessmen engaged in tourism in Crimea, they may be interested in the project,” said Babenko.
The construction will be launched in 2007-2008.
Historical note: Scythian Naples measuring 15 hectares consists of main gates of the town, Scythian mausoleum and Skilure’s sepulchre.
