On June 2, the frontier services of Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary inked a quadrilateral Action Plan-2006.

The ceremony of signing was held in Hungary. The Head of the State Frontier Service Mykola Lytvyn represented Ukraine, the Cabinet’s press service informed.

The document provides for implementation of joint measures in the areas of frontier control, fighting organized crime and terrorism, conducting joint operations, and training of specialists.

The EU will finance the activities in accordance with its ARGO program.

The first of such joint action plans was implemented in 2005. It focused on fighting the illegal migration and the human trafficking.
