Victor Yushchenko is glad the ‘orange’ forces have almost finished their talks to form a coalition. The President appreciates their willingness to carry out foreign and domestic policies he outlined in this year’s address to the Verkhovna Rada.
However, he is slightly upset they have not compromised on the land issue. He is convinced Ukraine will lose many economic chances if it fails to settle it, the president press office reports.
Their coalition agreement says our countrywill actively cooperate with NATO but does notsayit will join the organization. He believes this point sounds “quite vague.”
Victor Yushchenko also insists that the agreement should clearly describe the structure and principles of government and governmental committees.
He expects the negotiators to be responsible and hopes they will keep their promise to compromise by June 7.
