June 1, Kyiv hosted the 3d International Anti-Terrorism Forum, which addressed the subject of state-society interactions in countering terrorism and which was sponsored by the public organisation International Anti-Terrorism Unity and the company ZovnishEkspoBiznes ("Foreign Expo Business).
The events was patronized by the NSDC and the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, the Cabinet's press office informed.
Public figures, researchers, government officials, foreign diplomats, clerics participated in the forum.
According to Lt Gen (ret) Vasiliy Krutov, the Anti-Terrorism Unity's founder, the forum was meant for addressing new national security threats, including the challenge of international terrorism, drug trafficking, illicit trade and weapons, ethnic and religious conflicts.
