Alisa Rzhavskaya, 8, has won the contest “The Children against Smoking.” According to the terms of the contest, a winner will have an audience with the Pope Benedict XVI, Adverta Director Olena Khlivna told.

On May 19, Kyiv Palace for Kids and Youth hosted the final of the children’s drawing contest “Our Children’s Creative Work against Smoking.” The event was held in Ukraine for the first time within the framework of the international project aimed at propaganda of the healthy life-style among kids from 6 up to 13.

Due to the contest Ukrainian kids got a possibility to voice their attitude towards the grown ups’ pernicious habits. The winner will represent Ukraine at the audience with Pope Benedict XVI in Vatican.

Alisa’s drawing touched the hearts of the jury members. “Mummy, give me a life. Give health. Give me a chance,” says a pictured child in smoking mother’s womb.

“We are delighted that Kyiv school pupils enthusiastically hailed the contest. We plan to hold such contests annually with participation of all regions of Ukraine,” said Khlivna.
