At Riga’s airport Ukrainian delegation headed by the President Yushchenko met by Director of Foreign Ministry Diplomatic Protocol Artis Bertulis, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia Raul Chilachava with his wife, Latvian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine Andris Vilcāns and Finance Minister of Latvia Oskars Spurdziņš.
President of Ukraine with the First Lady of Ukraine and official delegation have departed for Riga Castle for meeting with the President of Latvia Vairas Vīķes-Freibergas and her husband.
In the course of the meeting, the parties are to negotiate pressing question of the cooperation and to ink bilateral documents.
