Officials of the Russian Federation decided to give permission on import of dairy production to a number of Ukrainian enterprises. According to the information from Agrarian Ministry of Russia, the decision was made “as a result of joint Russian-Ukrainian veterinary inspection.”
Federal sanitary inspectors’ service (Rosselhoznadzor) reports that the work is underway on examination of documents, got as a result of audit of State Veterinary Service of Ukraine.
Presently Rosselhoznadzor continues to audit Ukrainian Veterinary Service.
The decision to permit import from separate Ukrainian dairy production factories was made after the negotiations between Russian Agrarian Minister Aleksey Gordeev and VR deputies from Party of Regions, headed by Victor Yanukovich. The meeting was held February 14, 2006 at the instance of officials of “Edinaya Rossiya” (Common Russia).
