The State Adoption and Protection Child Rights Department will launch functioning in May, the Youth, Family and Sport Minister Yuri Pavlenko told.
“We plan to double adoption in Ukraine, the domestic one in particular. Our Ministry proposes the Cabinet to pass a resolution on equal rights for adoptive and native families,” stressed the Minister of Youth, Family and Sport.
According to new resolution, the adoptive parents would go on maternity leave in order to help a child to get used to new home.
