While visiting the Shevchenko Literature Institute, President Victor Yushchenko, Prime Minister Yuri Yekhanurov, First Deputy Chief of Staff Ivan Vasyunyk and Kyiv Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko saw Taras Shevchenko’s manuscripts and drawings, Lesya Ukrainka’s handwritten collection of poetry, Grygoriy Skovoroda and Mykola Gogol’s writings.
The Head of State and workers of the Institute discussed ways to build a national research and information center "Shevchenko's house" for these priceless archives, President's press office informed.
