Borys Tarasyuk Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and informed about the start of joint session of Ukrainian-Russian subcommittee on functioning of Black Sea Fleet of Russian Federation and its location on the territory of Ukraine.
As the press office of Foreign Ministry informs, the ministers discussed plans of joint activity within a session of experts’ group on frontier issues and settlement of Azov-Kerch problem, planned for February 15-16.
Ministers also agreed to charge experts with working out a conception and agenda of coming meeting, which is scheduled to take place in the near future between Tarasyuk and Lavrov as co-chairmen of Committee on international cooperation of Intergovernmental commission Yushchenko-Putin.
Session of subcommittee Ukraine-RF on temporal location of RF BSF in Ukraine has started today in Kyiv. This commission is a part of Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental commission Yushchenko-Putin. The Ukrainian party is headed by first deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko, the Russian party – by Russian deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.
