On January 15-17, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk will take an invitation of Swedish Foreign Minister Laila Freivalds and visit Sweden. It will be the formal visit of Ukrainian high authority to the Kingdom, the Foreign Minister spokesman Vasyl Filipchuk told.
The visit is an important part of preparation to the official visit of President Yushchenko to the country in the second half of the year. The visit of Swedish PM Goran Persson to Ukraine is planned on January 23-24.
During the visit, Borys Tarasyuk will take part in the national conference of the Association “Society and the Defence.” The conference will be dedicated to the issues touching upon the sphere of the defence and the international relations.
