President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko met with Mick Houghton, Deputy Commander of the Multinational Force in Baghdad International Airport, the Presdent's press ofice told.
Mick Houghton complimented our peacekeepers for professionalism and commitment and thanked them for training the Iraqi army.
The President said he hoped Ukraine would launch large-scale economic projects in Iraq and stressed that he had discussed ways to enhance Ukrainian-Iraqi cooperation with Premier Ibrahim Jaafari.
Yushchenko completed his one-day visit to Iraq and returned to Ukraine.
