Gazprom is willing to discuss the creation of new consortium on management of Ukraine’s gas transit system again, Gazprom Vice President Aleksandr Ryazanov told.

“Unfortunately, Ukraine’s authorities and Naftogaz National Joint Stock Company reduce the consortium to small piece of pipeline,” stressed Ryazanov talking about compromises which may be done by Russian Company in order to resolve the gas problem. “If we revise this topic (creation of valuable consortium) again we will solve all problems,” added he.

Vice President emphasized the key target is to reach agreement with Ukraine in order to provide Europe with gas.

He assured that there is no any hidden political motive in Gazprom’s approach to the price increase for Ukraine. “There is no politics in Gazprom’s standpoint at all,” stressed Ryazanov.

Meanwhile Russia is satisfied with Ukraine's readiness to amend the price regime for Russian natural gas to be supplied to Ukraine and transported to Europe via its territory, President Vladimir Putin said after a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Viktor Yushchenko, Wednesday.
