The Central Election Committee has launched the procedure of All-Ukrainian Referendum on joining NATO and the Common Economic Area which was initiated by SDPU (o) (the Social Democratic Party of Ukraine united), Ukrainskaya Pravda told.
CEC agreed to register the initiative groups and to issue corresponding id for the members of the groups.
The collection of signatures for the referendum will be held on March 1, 2006. According to the Act of Ukrainian Referendums, this period must not exceed three months.
