The State Committee for Material Reserves intends to raise grain purchasing prices

The State Committee intends to raise grain purchasing prices, with a view of facilitating the process of grain procurement, the press office of the Committee informed.

The Government's errand provides for purchasing one million tons of grain by the State Committee.

According to Alexander Basin, deputy department director with the State Committee, the Committee has concluded deals for shipments of 447,200 tons of grain.

The State Committee will continue buying only food wheat of 3d, 4th, 5th grades.

The Government has set purchasing prices for grain at 620 UAH ($116) per ton of 3d grade wheat, 510 ($92) UAH per ton of 4th grade wheat, and 446 UAH ($84) per ton of 5th grade wheat.
