Ukraine has become a member of the European Travel Commission (ETC), Foreign Ministry press service reports. The decision on membership was passed by common consent in ETC summit in Vienna.

The Declaration on Ukraine’s membership in ETC was signed by ETC President Arthur Oberscher and General Director of the National Travel Organization Victor Bezverkhy.

Ukraine is the 34th European country-member of ETC. The key target of the Commission is to form common area of European tourism through the coordinated policy of advertisement and information sphere for promotion of Common European tourism in the world market.

The European Union provides ETC with corresponding financial support.

The heads of national travel offices from 34 countries and 120 representatives of the leading travel firms took part in the summit.
