Victor Yushchenko said he intended to appeal to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to analyze the legality of several bills that stipulate inviolability of deputies of city councils.
"I will form a Secretariat committee to put forward proposals that I will submit to the Constitutional Court to analyze the legality of such regulations," said Yushchenko, his press office reported.
The Head of State confessed that he opposed inviolability of all deputies.
"I adhere to the opinion that a deputy is not an exceptional person but an average citizen of Ukraine," he said.
Yushchenko added that his appeal to the Constitutional Court was "the only way to put an end to all debates that have been held for years."
