Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ratified the Purchase Contract on Rivno and Khmelnitsk nuclear power plants between EBRD and Ukraine. 295 deputies of Ukraine voted for the proposal.
According to the Contract, EBRD provides Energoatom National nuclear Energy Company with the $42 million credit under condition of state guarantee for the project. The uarantee must be represented by Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. The credit will be spent for modernization of blocs 2 and 4 of the nuclear plants after their construction.
Finance Ministry confirmed its readiness to guarantee the credit.
