Vladimir Rudik deputy Interior Minister gave explanations concerning the coming changes and reforms of Ukrainian Traffic Police.
According to his words, traffic Police was not liquidated de jure. It is still current service.
Rudik informed that Interior Ministry had reformed traffic Police before the corresponding decree of President of Ukraine. Some measures are undertaken in order coming new service will correspond to new conditions. Not only quality but quantity of new service will be changed as well. The staff of new service must meet requirements that will be stricter than previous ones. The candidates will must to pass exams and their diplomas will be reviewed as well.
The traffic violators will pay penalties exceeding existed ones. Such thing as bribery will be finally prohibited and everyone will be on equal terms in the face of the law. The corresponding draft will be sent to Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The new service will be called Traffic Police Service. The name will be corresponded to its main function – to serve for people.
