According to the data of operative statistics, in June this year production of feeds in Ukraine decreased by 4 percent compared to the volume produced in May. June 2005 feed production in Ukraine totalled 164,700 tonnes, which was by 15 percent up from June 2004, reports State Statistics Committee.
Ending stocks of feed in Ukraine at the end of June amounted 15,200 tonnes, up by 2 percent from May.
The results of the 2004/05 season show Ukrainian feeds production totalled 1.8 million tonnes, up 203,200 or 13 percent from 2003/04. The increase is explained by higher demand for feed ingredients on the part of cattle breeding and particularly poultry breeding farms, AgriMarket informed.
