The president of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, has signed the act "On introducing of visa-free regime for the citizens of the United States of America," ITAR-TASS reported.

According to the document, from July 1, 2005 the USA citizens, who visit Ukraine for the second time and whose previous visit was no longer than six months ago, may use visa-free entrance to Ukraine or free transit visa through the territory of Ukraine for the term which does not extend 90 days.

The act was passed in order to develop strategic relationship between two countries and to strengthen the bilateral contacts. The act was signed on June 30.
