The government is improving the infrastructures and business conditions on the Zmiinyi Island and the continental shelf of the Black Sea, "Government Portal" reported.
The first Vice Prime Minister Anatoly Kinakh announced this on Thursday at a meeting on development of the Zmiinyi Island.
According to Kinakh's press service, proposals will be made on development of the socioeconomic infrastructures on the Zmiinyi Island, subventions from the state budget in 2006.
According to him, proposals on the amount of state expenditures on measures to strengthen the shores of the Zmiinyi Island will be drafted by July 1.
A mechanism for involving foreign and local private capital in the development of the Zmiinyi Island and the tourist industry on the island will also be considered.
According to him, ensuring the vital operations on the island, creating proper living conditions there, and performing economic operations there are among the priority tasks of the government and the country as a whole.
A decision was made during the meeting to set up a working group made up of representatives of the central government and the Odesa regional administration to oversee implementation of the programs for development of the infrastructures and business conditions on the Zmiinyi Island and the continental shelf of the Black Sea.
