According to an UNIAN correspondent, the minister has pointed out that the meat market has significantly grown in Ukraine. However, he regrets that it occurred not due to filling the market with the production, but due to the growth of meat prices. At the same time, Pinzenyk has explained: "unfortunately, the government could not solve the situation with the assistance of the Verkhovna Rada." He has recalled that the parliament turned down draft laws of the Cabinet of Ministers, which proposed to reduce customs tariffs on meat import, which would result in filling the market with meat and slowing down the meat prices.
He has expressed a hope that the reduction of the cost of credits for meat producers is likely to become one of the factors of wiping out the monopoly at the meat market in Ukraine.
