Today, after the voting on the Verkhovna Rada vice-speaker candidature, the Head of Counting Commission, Valery Mishura, informed that the voting had failed.

According to the Counting Commission, only 255 people’s deputies voted instead of 2/3 of the parliamentary squad required for such a procedure, MIGnews reported. According to the VR Regulations the voting is considered valid if no less than 300 deputies received voting papers.

The Verkhovna Rada speaker, Vladimir Litvin, said that the additional consultations are needed in this respect.

We remind, the post of the vice-speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is vacant, after Alexander Zinchenko was dismissed from this post and appointed the State Secretary.
