Central court of Nickolaev city sentenced two police officials to seven and a half years in prison for brothel establishing.
The accused worked as executive commissioners in the Central regional department of Internal Affairs.
It was found out that the policemen together with a recidivist and a souteneur established a brothel in 2002. Executive commissioners got 50% of income and forced prostitutes to serve them free. When one of the girls refused, the officials subjected her to torture and brought a forged criminal action against her, allegedly for larceny of a mobile phone.
During legal proceeding the accused tried to persuade the court that they established the brothel to use prostitutes as secret agents of Ministry of Internal Affairs.
