Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada signed a joint working plan on 2005, which provides for cooperation in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres for the near future.
The plan was signed on April 28 in the Canada’s capital Ottawa after finishing Ukrainian-Canadian political consultations. Ukrainian delegation was headed by the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Shamshur.

During the consultations the both sides touched the questions of Ukraine and Canada cooperation within international organizations, united efforts of peace support and security, activation of trade and economic and investment cooperation.
