The Department charged with struggle with economic crimes has detained the chief of Pridneprovskaya railway, Alexander Mamot, against whom the prosecutor office of Dnipropetrovsk region has brought a criminal case.
According to the press secretary of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Inna Kisil, Mr. Mamot is accused of abuse of official position and commitment of a crime according to the article 191 part 5 of Criminal Code of Ukraine (stealing of state-owned funds and property in enormous amounts). According to Mrs. Kisil, the chief of Pridneprovskaya railway transferred 71.2 million UAH to the account of the Reconstruction and Development Fund. Then, these funds were withdrawn from the account and used by the third person, MIGnew.com.ua reported.
