More than hundred politicians and public figures of Ukraine, including two members of parliament, sent in a letter to the government with the demand to conduct hearings "about Jewish activity in the country".
They also demand to bring a criminal action against Jewish organizations, which "undermine sovereignty of Ukraine and destroy its national character".
According to Federation of CIS Jewish communities, authors of the anti-Semitic appeal call Victor Yushchenko to abolish all prizes and honoured awards, which were given to Jewish organizations during Kuchma’s regime.
The letter was also sent to the head of Supreme Court and the speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
