Grigory Omelchenko (the head of the parliamentary commission charged with the investigation of the Ukrainian journalist’s, Georgy Gongadze, murder) declared that there are four new witnesses in connection with this case.
According to Omelchenko, he met with these witnesses, who promised to give evidence if the law machinery provides them with security. One of the witnesses allegedly keeps the part of Melnichenko’s records related to Gongadze’s murder, "Gareta.ru" reported.
Omelchenko also asserts that General prosecution is ready to listen to their statements and to change biographical particulars in order to indemnify their lives.
