Today the president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko departed for Poland with two-day official visit. He will meet with the president of Poland Alexander Kvasnevsky, the prime-minister Marek Belka, the speaker Vladzimezh Tsimoshevich and vice-marshal of senate Iolanta Danelyak.

Within the meeting "tête-à-tête" the presidents plan to sign joint documents, in particular, "agreement between Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine and government of Poland Republic about academic acknowledgement of documents about education and equivalence of degrees", "agreement between Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine and government of Poland Republic about co-operation in the sphere of information".

After the meeting the presidents will give joint press-conference.

The main event of the visit is opening of Year of Ukraine in Poland.

Yushchenko also will meet with students and give lectures in Warsaw University.

April 12 the president Yushchenko will visit Under Carpathian province and will take part in official opening of chapel-pantheon near the grave of Mikhail Verbitsky, the author of music of Ukrainian anthem, and will meet with Ukrainian community.
