The head of parliamentary investigating commission charged with investigation of resonance cases, the PM of Ukraine Grigory Omelchenko intends to visit London in the near future to meet with the ex- lieutenant colonel of Federal Security Service Alexander Litvinenko and to find out whether the ex-minister of defence was involved in listening of the former president Leonid Kuchma’s cabinet.

"As a parliamentary investigator and official I do not make any political statement and can only say that General Office of Public Prosecutor does not have any reason to bring an action against Eugen Marchuk. I will go to London to get Litvinenko’s prejudicial evidence personally", - Omelchenko said, "UNIAN" reported.

As reported before, the listening of the cabinet of the president Leonid Kuchma was organized by Eugen Marchuk, the ex- lieutenant colonel of Federal Security Service Alexander Litvinenko declared in an exclusive interview to the agency "Interfax-Ukraine" by phone from London.

Litvinenko referred to the talk with the ex-major of state security Nickolay Melnichenko.

According to him, Melnichenko revealed that listening was conducted by a group of guard officers during two years with the help of "the special equipment".
