The Ukrainian Oksana Hvostenko became the biathlon champion of Europe in competitions which took place in Novosibirsk.
Hvostenko became the winner in woman race on 10 kilometers, having come to finish with large advantage above other prizewinners of competitions. Ukrainian, assuming only one miss in four firing-lines, passed ahead of the Russian Irene Malgina on 53,6 seconds, who became the second (2 misses).
